Aurora Directions

1. Proper proportions of powder and liquid are essential for ideal manipulation. We suggest that you use the measuring devices provided in the following manner: one leveled measuring cup of powder (28cc) to one full vial of liquid (8cc).
2. Mix powder and liquid together immediately in the mixing jar provided
3. Mix for 30 seconds and allow an additional two minutes for gelling. Mold dough in hands to homogenize the material. A non-sticky, very adaptable dough is produced, which adapts readily to the cast.
4. Coat the model with a separating medium. i.e. Lang LIQUID FOIL.
5. Mold the AURORA material on the model to the desired tray thickness. Helpful Hint: Roll the AURORA material out using the storage container as the roller. Lay the rolled out material on top of the model. It will adapt readily to the model. You can further manipulate the material on the model with your fingers, if desired. Trim excess material off the model with a knife, prior to curing in the light cure unit. Save excess for use on the next tray. Form the tray handle onto the tray.
6. The material, in place on the cast, is placed into the light cure unit and the tray is polymerized by exposure to the light source for no less than 3 minutes. The thickness of the tray should not exceed 3mm at its thickest point. Trim excess with a bur. 7. The powder and the dough are light sensitive and should be stored in a dark place away from the light. The dough's shelf-life is approximately 24 hours if kept in the dark and in an enclosed container. We recommend that you prepare enough dough for the day.
